A Gorgeous Antique French Silver And Vermeil Strawberry Serving Set by Maître Orfèvre Léontine Compère.
This complete set is in its original box, which shows only light scruff marks on the outside of it but is in impeccable.
All pieces feature beautiful Louis XV Style handles, topped with a lovely spray of acanthus leaves, highlighted by a gold wash.
The set features a gorgeous Strawberry Service Spoon, the bowl of the spoon worked with both silver and Vermeil or 18 carat gold in order to create more contrast and showcase the flower bouquets and floral scrolls etched on it.
The Strawberry Spoon is 9.44 inches long and 3.74 inches wide at the bowl.
The Sugar Sifter Spoon is an absolute beauty with its bowl completely carved out in a foliage ‘repercé, the center part on the back left in silver in order to highlight the details, while the remainder is entirely covered in 18 carat gold. The bowl of the spoon attaches to the handle with a gorgeous bouquet of acanthus leaves.
The Sugar Sifter is 8.85 inches long and 2.83 inches wide at the bowl.
All pieces are in great state! Absolutely no marks or scratches and the ‘vermeil’ is still completely present!
