Delicate Antique French Silver and Crystal Fruit Presentations Bowls or ‘Compotiers’ by ‘Maitre Orfèvre’ Gustave AUBRY
The body of the ‘Compotiers’ are made of heavy wheel cut crystal, circled on the upper rim by a beautiful silver band, decorated with a ribbon tied laurel leaf wreath.

The bowls rests on a ‘Piédouche’ or pedestal in French silver showing a silver pearl line.
The crystal is worked in the Intaglio style with flower garlands etched in its depth.
They can be used in a myriad way, from Fruit presentation to Cupcakes or Cake presentation.
They can even be used for a flower presentation.

They are both are in excellent condition! No chips or damages to the crystal or the silver.

The Hallmark is Minerve 1 -1st title (950/1000) – Hence 1838 to 1919 – Paris

The Maker’s Mark is for Maitre Orfèvre Gustave AUBRY
His Mark shows a G and an A separated by a mistletoe sprig.
His mark was registered on February 9th 1910.
His workshop was located 2 Passage St Sebastien in Paris.
