Exquisite Set of 12 French Gilt Silver Plates By Tétard

An Absolutely Exquisite Set of 12 French Gilt Solid Silver Plates by Tétard Frères.

Decorated in the Louis XVI Style they are chiseled with a beautifully rendered frieze of laurel leaves circling the rim of the plates.
Each plate is quite heavy and the Vermeil, or 24 carat gold layer on silver, is intact.
The workmanship is superb.

They can be used as starter chargers or are dessert plates or chargers.
The weight of silver is impressive standing at 8.5 lbs.

We have a second set of 10 in the same design that can be purchased alone or added to this one.

The Hallmark is Minerva 1 – 1st Title Silver (950/1000) for Paris 1838/1919.
