Gorgeous Antique French Silver Presentation Plates By E Lefebvre

An absolutely Gorgeous Set of three Louis XVI Style French Antique Silver Fruit Presentation Plates by ‘Maitre Orfèvre’ Eugène LEFEBVRE.

The Presentation Plates are made entirely of silver with a gorgeous décor of carved cornflowers that line the center register in a beautiful three dimensional design.
The Upper register is cut out with again a cornflower wreath lining the edges.
The delicacy of the work is incredible.
The main flowers are slightly gilded to give them more depth.
Just beautiful!
The Plates rests on a round pedestal or ‘piédouche’.

They can be used in a myriad way, from Fruit presentation to Cupcakes or Cake presentation.
They are both are in excellent condition! No chips or damages.

The Hallmark is Minerve 1 -1st title (950/1000) – Hence 1838 to 1919 – Paris

The Makers Mark is for Eugène LEFEBVRE.
It shows his initials separated by a swan pierced by and arrow.
Lefebvre registered his mark in 1895 and had his workshop at 14 bis rue des Minimes in Paris.
