Antique French Silver Empire Style Hand Mirror by LIMOUSIN & SOUCHE.
This Charming mirror is typical of the Empire Style Inspiration popular under Napoleon the First and revived towards the end of the 1800s.
It freely used symbols from the Greek and the Egyptian Mythology in its decoration.
In the case of our lovely mirror, we have the two beautifully carved Lions holding up the mirror part.
The Handle is decorated with acanthus leaves and floral scrolls.
The mirror itself is surrounded by a laurel leaves wreath.
The mirror is tow sided with one side showing slight age marks, but the other is in perfect condition.
A lovely object practical and beautiful!
