Lovely Pair of 19th Century Gilt Bronze Tazzas

Lovely Pair of Gilt Bronze Tazzas decorated with Mythological Scenes.

Each shows very detailed Mythological or Allegorical scenes, with an incredible richness of details.
On one you find the story of Poseidon or Neptune charted over the different sides of the Tazzas, with Neptune taking the center part of the Tazza.
The work is quite lovely and very well preserved.
The Second Tazza is an Allegory to the Arts and Sciences. Represented are, Music, Architecture, Science, Agriculture, Medicine, and of course Art.
Here again the carving is extremely well done, detailed and beautifully rendered.
The Tazzas carvings were a model first done by Benvenuto Cellini (1500-1571).

The gilding is intact and quite lovely.
Paris Circa 1890.
