A Lovely Pair of 5 lights French Gilt Silver Candelabras By Tétard Frères

The Pair is done in the Corinthian Style with a gorgeous column rising out of a circular base, lined with laurel leaves
The column is typically Corinthian in style with the square upper part or abacus decorated with rosettes and acanthus scrolls.
The four arms extend through acanthus leaves, while the edges of the five candleholders are decorated with laurel leaves.

This set is in wonderful condition and will add a lovely note to a festive table!
They are not too tall, yet tall enough to convey the perfect ambiance light, while enabling guests to see each other across the table.
They have not been filled at the bottom hence the weight give is the solid silver weight.
They are 18 carat gold coated or Vermeil.
A gorgeous set!

The Hallmark is Minerva 1 – 1st title (950/1000) – for Paris 1838 – 1919

The Makers Mark is for TETARD Frères which was registered in 1903.
It shows a kettle with TFres underneath.
TETARD Frères took over from Edmond Tétard.
Their workshop was located 4 rue Beranger at the limit of the Marais part of Paris.
