A Charming and Rare Set of Antique French Silver and Vermeil Liquor Shot Glasses by Maître Orfèvre Louis COIGNET.

Each glass is beautifully decorated with delicately carved sunflower stem bearing two flowers.
Originally used to drink liqueur they can be used as shot glasses.
The glasses are perfectly balanced, quite heavy and great to hold.

The Hallmark is Minerve 1 -1st title (950/1000)- 1838 to 1919– Paris

The Makers Mark is for ‘Maître Orfèvre’ Louis COIGNET and shows and L and a C separated by a crossed carving fork and knife set.
He was active between 1889 and 1893.
His address was listed as 14 rue Barbette in the 3rd arrondissement, very close to the Rue Vieille du Temple in the Marais district of Paris.
