Beautiful 18th Century French Silver Coffee Pot By ‘Maitre Orfevre’ JN SACHER.

We can go further in time to date precisely this piece to 1786 thanks to the perfect markings on it!
A collectors piece….
The beautifully and simply rounded body rests on a round stand, while the lovely spout is shaped as a duck bill and lined with 3 simple gadroons.
The lid is slightly dome shaped and has a flower shaped finial.
The handle is in ebony and can be twisted off giving us the possibility to give you the exact silver weight.
The length given includes the handle.

The crossed L shown on the left hand side stands for smaller silver objects fabricated under Fermier General Henri Clavel in Paris

Shows the crowned A used by Fermier General Henri Clavel in Paris from August 31st 1782 to February 22nd 1789.

Photo # 8:
Shows the Makers Mark for JN Sacher who registered his mark in Paris in 1785 and worked up to 1792.
