19th Century Pair of Louis XVI Style Gilt Bronze Cassolettes

A Gorgeous Pair of Antique French, Louis XVI Style, Ormolu Cassolettes.

The two Cassolettes show a square pedestal, lined with acanthus leaves.
The Body rises in the form of an antique column and gives way to an amphora shaped center part decorated by acanthus leaves swags and beautifully detailed ram heads.

The top part which is decorated with laurel leaves and geometric designs is topped by a berry finial.
It is reversible enabling the pair to be turned either into a Pot Pourri or transformed into Candlesticks.

This beautiful pair is entirely made of Gilt Bronze or Ormolu and date back to circa 1870.
