Antique French Silver And Crystal Ewers By P Canaux & Cie

Beautiful Antique French Silver and Crystal Pair of Claret Jugs or Ewers by Paul CANAUX & cie.

The Pair is beautifully ornated with a Rocaille style base and a Acanthus leaf scroll handle.
The handles are delicate and beautifully designed with the leaf knob resting on the Ewer’s body, gorgeously detailed in solid silver.
The acanthus leaf design is particularly well rendered!
The collars are delicately circled by a rocaille decorated silver band, decorated with what we call in France, ‘vagues peignées’ or combed waves.
The body is made of thick crystal, wheel cut with a beautiful scroll design on both sides.
The Silver tops are again decorated in the rocaille style with a flower knob finial.

A truly beautiful pair! Perfect for Claret or ‘Liqueur’ at the end of the meal.
No losses, no breaks, just gorgeous and very rare to come by.
