Antique French Silver Asparagus Tongs By A Debain

Antique French Silver Asparagus Server or Tongs by ‘Maître Orfèvre’ Alphonse DEBAIN in the very modern twist to the Louis XVI Style.

A very pure and very simple, yet very elegant, ‘Main Pince’ or Asparagus Tongs created by Alphonse Debain, from whom we features several items on our website, this version is extremely modern in its rendering! An elegant Acanthus leaf medallion frames the Raised JB Monogram, with delicate acanthus leaves framing the sides and a silver rosette covering the spring.

It fits perfectly in the hand and is in exquisite condition with the spring located in the hinged joint still working perfectly. No dents no marks, just gorgeous! Though it is meant to serve Asparagus it may also be used as a bread or pastry server.
It comes in its original presentation box!
