Antique French Silver Set of Shell Shaped Cups by Champenois

A charming suite of Antique French Silver Seashell Shaped Presentation Cups by Maître Orfèvre Léon Champenois.

The pieces are beautifully worked to resemble a perfect St Jacques Scallop – With all the ridges and details in solid silver.
They were used to present Hors D’oeuvres – but they could also be used as finger bowls or simply to decorate a table during a summer meal.
All pieces are in great state! No losses or dents.
Very elegant and refined

The Hallmark is Minerva 1-1st title – 1838 -1911 – Paris

The Makers Mark is for Maître Orfèvre Léon Champenois.
It shows the last name spelled out on top of a row boat with two men.
The Mark was registered in 1894 and replaced by Boulenger & Cie in 1895
The workshop was located 140 rue du Temple in Paris.
