Gorgeous Antique French Vermeil 180 pieces Flatware Set By Henri Soufflot.

The model presented shows a lovely spatula decorated with laurel and acanthus leaves in the Louis XV style.
The knife sets are with vermeil handles, with the blades for the appetizer and main course knives in stainless steel.
The Set is presented in its original display wood and felt box.

This beautiful Set includes 5 plateaux containing the following all in 24 carat gold plated silver or ‘Vermeil’:
Plateau # 1: 12 dinner forks, 12 dinner spoons, 12 entremets or dessert forks, entremets or dessert spoons, 1 sugar sprinkler spoon, 1 cream spoon and 2 salt spoons.
Plateau # 2: 12 oysters forks, 12 Fish knives, 12 fish forks, 5 hors d’oeuvres or bonbons serving pieces.
Plateau # 3: 12 Dinner knives with stainless steel blades, 12 entremets knives with stainless steel blades, 12 small spoons, 12 Ice cream spoons, 1 sugar tongs.
Plateau # 4: 12 Dessert/cake forks, 12 dessert or butter knives with a vermeil blade, 5 service pieces including a fish service set, a ice cream service spoon, a dessert service spoon, a sauce spoon.
Plateau # 5: features An asparagus scoop, a roast service set of fork and knife, a salad service set, a ragout spoon, a pie server and a ladle.

The menagère has a total of 180 pieces.
All pieces show a rare, raised silver monogram (hence instead of chiseling the initials you added the Silver initials to the pieces). The monogram shows MM initials.
The box is in good shape, all the plateaux are complete.

The Silver weight is incredible 7 kilograms 391 grams or 16 Pounds and 294 ounces
The full weight with the pieces that have filled silver handles (the knives, oyster forks and a couple of service pieces) is 10.600 Kilograms or 22 Pounds and 590 ounces
An incredible find that is intact and in superb shape!

The Hallmark is Minerva 1st title- (950/1000) 1838/1919 – Paris

The Makers Mark is for ‘Maître Orfèvre’ Henri SOUFFLOT.
It shows his initials topped by a rising sun with a star below.
He registered his mark in April 1884, taking over the workshop of from Henri Chenailler.
He cancelled his mark in November 1910.
His workshop was located 89 rue de Turbigo in Paris
