Beautiful Antique Silver Coffee Pot By Tetard Freres ~Sold~

A Beautiful French Antique Silver Coffee Pot by renowned ‘Maitres Orfèvres’ Tétard Frères.

The style imitates the Louis XV earlier period with incredible details and ‘repoussé’ work. I will mostly leave the pictures to speak for themselves but this piece is gorgeous!
The design is simple but elegant with the ‘repoussé’ work concentrating on the upper part of the pot and on the links with the handle and the spout.
The motifs show acanthus leaves and flowers. The Handle is protected from the heat by 2 section of ivory and is in perfect condition. The Finial, or ‘Frétel’, is in the form of a pine nut, while the edges of the lid reproduce the same leaf designs as on the body of the pot. The carvings on the junction of the four feet’s of the urn are incredibly detailed as well as the junction of the spout and the pot.
There are a few minor scratches (really minor!). Width above is taken at the fuller part of the pot.
