Beautiful Complete French Silver ‘Ménagère’ or Flatware Set by ‘Maitre Orfèvre’ RAVINET & Compagnie.

This beautiful Antique French Silver Flatware Set is complete of all its elements and showcases a multitude of implements that were indispensable fir a beautiful set table.
They are all decorated in the Louis XVI Style, showcasing floral Garands, and fruit laden baskets along with musical instruments.
All pieces bear a monogram featuring the letters J & B.

The Set includes:
12 large Forks and 12 large Spoons, 12 ‘Entremets’ or Starters Forks and Spoons, 12 Coffee Spoons, 12 Large Knives and 12 Small Knives with stainless steel blades, as well as 12 dessert knives with Vermeil (gold coated silver) blades. 12 Fish Forks and Knives with their Service Set.
4 Hors D’oeuvres Service pieces, a Salad Service set, a Ragout Spoon, a Roast Knife and Fork as well as Leg of Lamb holder and a Sauce Spoon are also part of the Set.
A beautiful Asparagus Server comes to round up the Salted Items servers.
12 Ice Cream Spoons and their Service set, 12 rare Melon forks, 4 Bonbons service pieces, 1 Sugar Sifter Spoon and Sugar tongs and 1 Butter Knife, 1 Strawberry service spoon, 1 Sugar Sifter Spoon, 1 Cake server, 1 Cream Spoon, and a Bread knife complete the Set.

The Ice Cream Spoons, Dessert Service pieces, Sugar Sifter and Sugar Tongs, Melon forks, Bonbons Service set, and Asparagus Server are 18 carat gold covered or ‘Vermeillées’.
The pieces are in perfect condition with only the usual slight usage marks.

The company followed in the footsteps of RAVINET DENFERT and registered its mark in 1912, cancelling it in March 1923.
It occupied the same offices as Ravinet Denfert at 83 Rue Du Temple in Paris.
