Charming Antique French Silver Butter Dish~Sold~

Charming Antique French Silver and Crystal Butter Dish attributed to August Louis FIZAINE.

The piece outlines the refinement the table attained in the mid to late 1800s and very early 1900s.
The delicate crystal bowl is beautifully worked with rose garlands and morning glories, the design engraved in a circle along with a delicate floral arabesque.
The Cover of the dish shows a lovely ‘guilloché’ work on its main part while the edges are decorated with carved circles.
The finial takes the shape of a delicate morning glory resting on a bed of leaves.

The same beautiful ‘guilloché’ and silver circles work decorate the solid silver dish.

This lovely butter dish can be also be used to serve marmalade or sweet cream!
The model is in perfect condition! No losses to the silver or the crystal. Just beautiful…

The Hallmark is Minerve 1 -1st title (950/1000) – Hence 1838 to 1919 – Paris

The Makers Mark has been stamped over with the Minerva Hallmark – keeping us from being to identify it, however we had the near same one by August Louis FIZAINE.
