The crystal itself is beautifully worked with ‘intaglio’ floral scrolls and gerberas’
The upper part is lined with a combed wave silver design, and equipped with an elegant handle completely decorated with rosettes and floral scrolls.
The lid is done in a combed wave design and shows a floral scroll knob.
It is intact, no losses to the silver and no marks on the crystal –just beautiful!
The Hallmark is Minerva 1-1st title (950/1000) – 1838 -1919– Paris
The Makers Mark is for Joseph Alexandre Martel.
It shows a J and an M topped by 2 hammers and 2 stars above.
He registered his mark on October 8th 1888, and had his workshop at 41 rue Beaubourg in Paris.
