Charming Antique French Vermeil Vase By Lapar~sold~

A Charming Antique French Gilt Silver Vase by Georges FOUQUET LAPAR.

This lovely piece is done in the Louis XVI style, with detailed gadroons adorning the neck and the lower part of the vase, while a lovely floral garland decorates the upper part of the vase.
Tied with flowing ribbons it features clematis and roses.

The vase is in silver with a gilt so fresh it makes us believe it may have been gilded again down the line.
It is charming to decorate a table with spray roses or tulips.

The Hallmark is Minerve 1 -1st title (950/1000)- 1838 to 1919 – Paris

The Makers Mark is for Georges FOUQUET LAPAR, who registered his own mark in 1897 after apprenticing under his father in law Leon LAPAR.
His Mark shows his three initials topping a silversmith’s chisel.
This piece also bears the L LAPAR signature for Leon LAPAR leading us to believe Fouquet Lapar finished one of his father’s in law pieces.
