Charming Ormolu And Marble Table Clock By Boin Taburet~Sold~

Charming Antique Louis XVI Style Ormolu and White Marble Table Clock by BOIN TABURET.

This lovely guy reminds us of another treasure we had in our recent collection. But it is quite different in style.
While the other was more in the Napoleon III style, this charming piece checks all the marks for Louis the 16th Style.

The lovely white marble pedestal is circled by gilt bronze pearl wreath on top, while the main part is decorated by a rose garland.

The Sweet cherub sits on a grassy knoll holding on to a tambourine which doubles as the clock.
The gilt bronze is in very good condition with only a few fading of the gilt on the back of the cherub.

The expression of the ormolu carved cherub is very sweet, and very well done.
The clock has beautiful guilloche design which is to be expected due to the maker of the piece.

The clock is in perfect shape! With the roman numbers intact. It is in working order and rewinds by hand, perfectly on time!

We fell in love with this delicate piece we acquired in Paris.
