Charming Antique Silver Selfish Chocolate Pot By Maurice~Sold~

An absolutely Charming Antique ‘Selfish’ French Silver Chocolate Pot by Pierre MAURICE.

This Chocolate pot is called ‘Egoïste’ in French as it holds roughly 1 cup of hot cocoa but no more!
It is really adorable, extremely rare.

The handle is in mahogany (and is removable), and the pot has a slightly flared shape, in the Louis XVI Style, and rests on a round base.
The upper body is worked with a tulip garland.
The duck-bill shaped spout showcases ridged lines and a Tulip chute
The round domed shaped lid is toped with a finial in the shape of a flower knob
The Finial twists to accommodate the wooden stirrer which is in impeccable shape.
It is quite rare to find the stirrer still present…
The stirrer measures 5.45 inches and is made of mahogany with a rosewood tip.

Beautiful shape – no marks or losses – just adorable…
