Charming Art Nouveau Set of Vermeil Salt Cellars by Maillard and Vazou

Charming set of 4 Antique French Gilt Silver Salt Cellars by ‘Maîtres Orfèvres’ Maillard Frères & Vazou.

These lovely French Silver open salt caddies or cellars are decorated in the Art Nouveau Style, with a ‘Vermeil’ (24 carat gold, over solid silver) floral garland circling a clear crystal interior.
What is quite unique in these particular pieces is the type of leaves used! Here we have the representation of Maple tree leaves, which was not commonly used.
Each salt cellar stands on 4 vermeil beads.
The Crystal interiors are decorated with a star at the bottom.
Four dainty spoons complete the set, decorated with a flower chute and featuring a shell shaped bowl.
The Set is adorable and is excellent condition with no loss to the Vermeil or the Crystal.
The original presentation box is also in excellent condition.
