Charming Pair of Silver Egg Cups and Spoons By Folliot~Sold~

A Rare and Lovely Set of Antique French Silver Eggcups and their spoons by Maître Orfèvre Charles FOLLIOT.

The two eggcups are decorated in a ‘rocaille’ style, with the centre part bearing a medallion with a monogram spelling MM. The medallion is set in a shell like design and is surrounded by water plants and reeds.
The cups themselves imitate, in a charming way, two cracked eggshells! They rest on three ‘rocaille’ twirling feet.
The two spoons are delicately decorated with shell like designs, peony garlands and roses.
The work on them is exquisite, with one little sign that each was handmade; indeed their shape is not exactly similar!
A lovely piece!
The presentation box is in great condition as well!

The measures above are those of the eggcups.
The spoons are 4.6 inches long
