Charming Silver And Porcelain ‘Dejeuner’ Set By Leneuf ~Sold~

A Charming Antique French Silver, Vermeil and Porcelain, Tête à Tête Déjeuner (set for two) Set by Maître Orfèvre Victor LENEUF.
The charming set is called a ‘Dejeuner en Tête à Tête’ or a double breakfast set.

The cups, which consists of a Gold (18 carat) coated silver holder and a lovely porcelain interior decorated with a dainty rose garland, rest on a porcelain plate circled by a gold coated silver band etched with a laurel Wreath.
The plates also show the same charming rose garlands that appear on the cups.
The porcelain is attributed to the Manufacture of Sevres and is signed in the back.
The cups handles are worked with delicate acanthus scrolls curling upwards.
The set is completed by two dainty spoons decorated with acanthus leaves and a chute of roses.

This charming ensemble is typical of the Louis XVI style.
The work is just exquisite!

The porcelain is intact as are the silver components of this little beauty!
They come presented in their original box which is also in excellent condition.

The Hallmark is ‘Minerve’ 1 -1st title (950/1000) – 1838 -1919– Paris

The Makers Mark shows a V and an L seprated by a spoon. The mark is for ‘Maître Orfèvre Victor LENEUF’ who registered his mark in 1885 and worked 15 Rue du Poitou in Paris. He was the successor of Edmond Zeihen.
