The pedestal is made of solid Silver entirely worked in ‘guillochage’ or lattice work, with a round base.

The Hallmark is Minerva 1-1st title – 1838 -1911 – Paris

The Makers Mark is for ‘Maître Orfèvre’ Paul MASSAT and shows his last name. He took over from his father, Jean Baptiste Massat, after working for several years with his brother.
His mark was created in 1877 and cancelled in 1885.
His address was listed as, 15 rue Crussol in Paris in the 11ieme Arrondissement of Paris, very close to the Place de La République.
