Charming Vermeil and Crystal Sugar Bowl by Lapeyre

A Charming Antique French Gilt Silver (or Vermeil) and Crystal Sugar Bowl and Sugar Sifter Spoon by ‘Maître Orfèvre’ Henri Lapeyre.

The crystal is beautifully worked in the Intaglio Style and is wheel cut in a star formation at the bottom.
The top of the bowl is enclosed in the silver gilt casing worked in an incredibly delicate band of gold plated Antique silver showcasing floral scrolls, and delicate ribbons.
The sugar sifter spoon is also in gold plated Antique silver with the handle delicately worked with ribbons, roses and laurel leaves, while the bowl is carved out in a sun swirl pattern.

Though it is a sugar bowl, it can be used in a variety of ways: for sweets per example or chocolates.

The piece is in excellent condition, with no chips or marks, just beautiful perfection!
The Bowl and the Sugar Sifter Spoon are in their original and gorgeous presentation box which is in great condition.

The Hallmark is ‘Minerve’ 1 -1st title (950/1000) – 1838 -1919– Paris

The Makers Mark is for Maitre Orfèvre Henri LAPEYRE who registered his mark on November 19th 1895.
It shows an H and an L, separated by a spoon between two crescents.
His workshop was located 49 Rue Meslay in Paris
