Charming XVIII Century Flemish School Drawing Of 3 Puttis~Sold~

Charming XVIII Century Flemish School Pencil And Brown Wash Drawing Of Three Puttis
Or: ‘The Three Fishing Puttis’!

This Drawing is delightful!
It shows 3 Puttis (or Cupids) resting on a riverbank and holding different fishing implements.
One holds a conch, the second holds a net and the third a fishing rod.
Each of the little Putto has a lovely expression!
The two first ones clearly show mischief shining in their eyes, while the third one looks more contemplative.
The faces are gorgeous and are beautifully executed as are the dimples on each little chubby body!

The artist masterfully concentrated on the movements of the cloth draping over two of them to highlight the action.
The scene is simply lovely….
The Drawing was first executed in Lead pencil, then highlighted with a Brown and Grey Wash.

The Drawing is in a Period frame which is gold covered (some age marks)
On the reverse: ‘Herisen 1793’ is annotated.
