Silver & Vermeil Salt Cellars Set By G Veyrat ~Sold~

These four lovely Antique French Silver open salt caddies or cellars, were created by ‘Maitre Orfèvre’ Gustave VEYRAT.

The 4 salt caddies are worked in beautiful ‘rocaille’ style with garlands of flowers and leaves set in a swirling or wave like pattern. The interior of the caddies are coated in gold or ‘vermeillé’ which shows through the original crystal inserts.
Both the caddies and the inserts are intact and show no scratches or marks. Four lovely  little spoons complete the set and are original to it– again adopting the rocaille style, with the spoon part shaped like a seashell and the handles etched with flowers.

The set is in its original box which is in excellent condition. The cellars themselves are in perfect condition.
The height above is taken at the top of the crystal insert, as they are created to show a little higher then the silver bowls.
