Dainty Silver And Porcelain Coffee Cups By Combeau~Sold~

Dainty French Silver and Porcelain Coffee Cups by ‘Maître Orfèvre’ Ernest COMBEAU.

This charming set of 6 cups and and matching saucers is decorated in the typical manner of the Louis XVI Style.
The cups, which consists of a Gold (18 carat) coated silver holder and a lovely, porcelain interior decorated with a dainty flower garland, rest on a porcelain saucer circled by a gold coated silver band etched with a laurel Wreath.
The saucers also show the same charming floral garlands that appear on the cups.
The porcelain is so fine it is almost transparent.
The cups handles are worked with delicate ‘Art Nouveau’ scrolls curling upwards.
Due to their sizes the cups are much more fitted for Espressos then for regular coffee!

The work is just exquisite!

The porcelain shows an ‘apocryphal’ mark for the Manufacture of Sèvres.
The silver and porcelain components of this lovely set are both intact!

The Hallmark is ‘Minerve’ 2 -2nd title (800/1000) – 1838 -1919– Paris
