Delicate French Silver Ice Cream Spoons by C Murat~Sold~

Delicate Antique French Silver And Vermeil Ice Cream Spoons by Maître Orfèvre Charles MURAT.

This lovely set of 12 spoons shows a ‘Japonisant’ (or Japanese style) trend in the floral carvings of the spoon bowls, which was typical , towards the end on the 1800s, for this kind of set.
The bowl of the spoons are worked with both silver and Vermeil, or 18 carat gold, in order to create more contrast and showcase the dainty branches of Mistletoe that decorate them.
The handles adopt the same refined branches of mistletoe, while the lower part holds an AG monogram.

All pieces are in great state.
A charming find, perfect to enjoy a little cool treat under the mistletoe…
