Delicate French Antique Silver and Vermeil Fruit Presentations Plates by ‘Maitre Orfèvre’ Maurice GUERCHET.
The Presentation Plates are made entirely of silver with the center part lightly gilded with 18 carat gold.
The Rim of the two plates is decorated in the Louis XV style of ‘Rocaille’, showing beautiful Cut Out details of Acanthus leaves and geometrical details as well three cartouche showcasing a branch of roses.

The Plates rests on 3 scrolls of solid silver decorated in the Rocaille style.
They can be used in a myriad way, from Fruit presentation to Cupcakes or Cake presentation.
They are both are in excellent condition! No chips or damages with only a very little lightening of the gilt.

The Hallmark is Minerve 1 -1st title (950/1000) – Hence 1838 to 1919 – Paris

The Maker’s Mark is for Maitre Orfèvre Maurice GUERCHET.
His Mark shows an M and a G with a ‘bishops’ crozier’ separating them. The Mark was registered on June 14th 1900 and cancelled on May 20th 1903.
His workshop was located 30 boulevard Malsherbes in Paris.
