Delicate Antique French Vermeil Bonbons Service Set By P Canaux

Gorgeous and Delicate Antique French Vermeil Bonbons Service Set by ‘Maître Orfèvre’ Paul Canaux.

The Bonbons Service Sets were usually sold separately from the ‘Ménagère’ and tailored to order.
One could choose between different implements on offer ranging from several types of sugar sifter or tongs and bonbons spoons or butter knives.
This gorgeous and very unique set takes after the Japanese decorative movement, with the handles carved out as delicate bamboos.

The work on the spoons and sifter bodies is a gorgeous design of floral cut outs and leaf shapes, done with an incredible delicacy!
Starting by looking at the full picture of the implement set (1st picture) on the top side we have a sugar sifter spoon (5.90 inches long).
Second from top comes the bonbons Spoon (5.70 inches long), followed by the Strawberry spoon (5.70 inches long).
The last piece is a pair of sugar tongs (4.72 inches long).
All pieces are in great state! No marks or losses to the vermeil.
The work on them is just exquisite.
They come in their original fitted box which is in excellent condition, and also quite unique! A beautiful set!
