Delicate French Antique Silver Fruit Presentations Plates by ‘Maitre Orfèvre’ Edmond Molle.

The Presentation Plates are made entirely of silver with the center in solid silver.
The borders are the plates are lovely with openwork border of latticework punctuated by silver rosettes.
The rim is lined with silver pearls and the plates rest on round raised solid silver pedestals.
They can be used in a myriad way, from Fruit presentation to Cupcakes or Cake presentation.
They are both are in excellent condition! No chocs or damages and they come in their original presentation boxes.

The Pair once belonged to a very preeminent Franco Italian Family residing in Switzerland.

The Hallmark is Mercury 1 -1st title (for pieces destined for exportation outside of France) – Hence 1838 to 1919 – Paris

The Makers Mark is for ‘Maîtres Orfèvres’ Edmond MOLLE.
It shows an E and the Name ‘MOLLE’ written out with a clover leaf underneath.
Edmond Molle was the successor to Alexandre Torrez. He registered his mark on May 11th 1898.
The Mark was cancelled on September 25th 1919.
He was located at 114 Rue Du Temple in the Marais area of Paris.
