Delicate Pair of French Silver and Crystal Liquor Decanters or ‘Carafes’ by ‘Maitres Orfèvres’ LAGRIFFOUL & LAVAL
The Crystal has been worked in the Intaglio style (Hence the images are engraved into the crystal) with a charming laurel leaf and acanthus leaf design on the 4 sides.
Their rarity lies in the square shape adopted by the crystal maker which gives them a different and definitely charming design.
The upper neck of the Carafes is lined with silver beautifully carved with a ‘Raie de Coeur’ or Spokes Of Heart design.
The same design is found once again on the stoppers.
The crystal bodies are in perfect shape!
Due to their small size these two charmes were definitely reserved for ‘Liqueur’.
