Delicate Antique French Silver Liquor Service Set of 12 Silver Tumblers with their matching Silver Platter by ‘Maîtres Orfèvres’ Charles HAEK and Achille HOURDEQUIN

The upper part of the silver liquor tumblers is lined with a delicate ‘combed waves’ (or Vagues Peignées) design which was a favourite of the ‘rocaille’ style.
The same ‘combed waves’ design can be found on the platter.

The interior of the tumblers is lightly covered by 18 carat gold.
Though delicately worked the tumblers are actually quite heavy, hence very well balanced and perfect for sipping you favourite liquors.

The work is lovely and the pieces are in excellent condition with no losses.
They come in their original silk lined presentation box which is in very good condition.

The Hallmark is Minera -1st title (950/1000) -1838-1919 for Paris

The Makers Mark shows two H separated by two crossed axes topped by a star.
The mark stands for Charles HAEK and Achille HOURDEQUIN who specialized in Artistic Silver pieces, and registered their mark on March 3rd 1880.They won several gold medals for their refined creations, in 1893, and 1894, in Paris, then in 1897 in Brussels.

They were located 42 Rue de Turbigo in Paris.
