Elegant Antique French Silver and Crystal Condiments Set by ‘Maitre Orfèvre’ LN NAUDIN

The Set consists of 4 Salt and Pepper Cellars, and on one gorgeous Oil and Vinegar Cruet stand with its Crystal containers.

The design is very pure and very elegant with a silver wire frame body, resting on a round solid silver pedestal which is slightly dome shaped.

The three simple lines define the border of the pedestals, while the body is composed of light silver loops.
The Upper rim shows again the same 3 simple silver lines.
The style is typical of what will later be known as Empire Style with very clean and elegant lines.

The Oil and Vinegar Cruet has a gorgeous centre hold featuring a Empire Amphora and a simple yet elegant circle of silver as a finial.
The cobalt blue insert are beautiful, heavy crystal beautifully worked, and intact!

The Oil and Vinegar Cruet stands: 9.90 inches high – 9.90 inches long – 5.75 inches wide
The Salt and Pepper Cellars are 4. inches wide and 3.75 inches high

The Hallamrk for the oil and Vinegar Cruet is Poicon Au 2ieme Coq (2nd Rooster)1st title (950/1000) for Paris 1809 to 1819
The Hallmark for the Salt cellars is Michael Angelo (Poinçon au Vieillard )-1st title (950/1000) – Hence 1819 to 1838– Paris

The Makers Mark is for Maitre Orfèvre LN NAUDIN (Fils) who registered his mark in 1812 and shows his initials.
His workshop was located 24 place de Thionville in Paris.
