Elegant Antique French Silver and Crystal Mustard Cellar By Jean Nicolas BOULANGER.
The design is very pure and very elegant with a silver wire frame body, resting on a solid silver pedestal.
It is elegant with two beautifully curved handles showcasing a central rosette and acanthus leaves.
The style is typical of what will later be known as Empire Style with very clean and elegant lines.
The Cobalt blue crystal insert is original to the piece
No dents or marks on the silver vessels.
The Hallmark is 2ieme Coq -1st title (950/1000)– 1809 -1819 -Paris
The Makers Mark on the Mustard Pot is for Maitre Orfèvre Jean Nicolas BOULANGER who registered his first mark in 1783, then renewed it in 1798, and canceled it in 1819.
