An Elegant and Rare Antique French Silver and Crystal set of 12 Bowls.
Very popular in the later 1870/1880 these practical implements where used mostly when having shellfish during dinner or finger food.
They can of course due to their size be used to present individual fruit salads or appetizers or even to serve Hors d’Oeuvres
This particular set is worked simply with a gadroon decorated silver circle laid out on the upper part of the solid crystal bowls.
The bowls show slightly beveled sides and are in clear cristal.
They are intact with no losses to the Silver or the Cristal.
It is a lovely addition to service which is modern enough to go with any pattern.
The Hallmark is the Minerva Hallmark for Paris 1st title Silver (950/1000). 1838-1919
