Elegant French Silver And Crystal Vase By Schiffmacher

Elegant Antique French Silver and Crystal Vase by Maitre Orfèvre Albert SCHIFFMACHER.

This beautiful piece is perfectly balanced, with the crystal and the silver details complementing each other and making for a charming piece.
The Crystal is heavy and finely wheel cut to diamond cut shapes along the sides of the vase which is shaped in a tapering Baluster form.
The pedestal has its round base simply lined by a silver pearls wreath.

The Crystal is intact and the silver décor is in excellent shape with no losses to its carved details.
A lovely piece to showcase roses or peonies on your table or mantle!
It reminds me closely of the fine products that were heralded by the ‘L’Escalier de Cristal’ store which stood close to the Palais Royal area in Paris in 1804 and proposed their beautiful finds up to 1923.

The Hallmark is Minerve 1 -1st title (950/1000) – Hence 1838 to 1919– Paris

The Makers Mark is for Maître Orfèvre Albert SCHIFFMACHER and shows an A and a S separated by a compass and a hammer
