Elegant Antique French Silver and Mirror Table Center Piece or Surtout by Maîtres Orfèvres Tétard Frères.

The Jardinière is worked in a very elegant yet simple oval style with double silver lines.
The interior is in silvered metal.
The plateau is lined with a mirror and backed in mahogany wood, and adopts the same simple silver line as the Jardinière, while resting on 4 round silver pearls.

The measures given above are those of the ensemble. The measures of the Jardinière alone are: 15.03 inches long x 9.44 inches wide and 2.63 inches high.

The Hallmark is Minerva 1 – 1st title (950/1000) for Paris 1838/1919

The Makers Mark is for Tétard Frères.
It is shown as a Mark with the T Frères topped by a kettle.
The Mark was registered in 1903, taking over from Edmond TETARD.
The workshop was located 4 rue Béranger in Paris
