Elegant Pair Of Silver And Crystal Decanters By Bloch & Eschwege

An Elegant Pair of French Silver and Crystal Decanter or ‘Carafe’ by ‘Maitre Orfèvre’ Bloch Eschwege.
We do not usually dabble with early 1900 marks, but we really love this model!

The Crystal has been worked in the Intaglio style (Hence the images are engraved into the crystal) with star shapes, separated by wheel cuts to give the crystal more definition. The upper level of the body sports geometrical designs also whelle cut into the crystal.

The Silver toppers are very modern with an oval shaped figure cut in the middle by a groove.
The crystal insert are intact.
The upper part of the decanters are lined with solid silver bearing the same fine line as on the topper, but also showcasing a laurel wreath on the lower part.

The work is lovely and the piece is in brilliant condition with no chips or marks.

There is a very tiny difference of heights betwen the pair, hence our giving the measures directly in the description:
One is 11 inches high
The other is 10.7 inches high
The width on both is 2.8 inches

The Hallmark is Minerve -1st title – 1838 -1926 -Paris
