12 Elegant Antique French Solid Silver Bowls by ‘Maître Orfèvre’ Tétard Frères.

These twelve bowls are simple and very elegant. They show a silver pearls line on the upper rim, with 4 stylized palmettos and rosettes motif in raised silver.
The bowls rest on a small round piedouche.
It is a lovely object, simple yet refined, and easy to use.
They can be used as Desert bowls, as finger bowls, or for fruit salad, or to serve chocolate mousse or ice cream…or even to display a series of small hors d’oeuvres. The uses are endless.
They can also be used with the 12 plates listed right after, that share the same design (see photo 6)

They are in great shape and are extremely heavy totaling 5.10 lbs!

The Hallmark is Mercury (for French Silver Created for Export) -1st title (950/1000) – 1879 -1919 –Paris

The Makers Mark is for Tétard Frères.
It is shown as a Mark with the T Frères topped by a kettle.
The Mark was registered in 1903, taking over from Edmond TETARD.
The workshop was located 4 rue Béranger in Paris
