Elegant Silver And Crystal ‘Carafe’ By Bloch Eschwege~ Sold~

An Elegant French Silver and Crystal Decanter or ‘Carafe’ by ‘Maitre Orfèvre’ Bloch Eschwege.
We do not usually dabble with early 1900 marks, but we totally fell for this lovely carafe!

The Crystal has been worked in the Intaglio style (Hence the images are engraved into the crystal) with ribbons and laurel garlands, set in squares that are also separated by wheel cuts to give the crystal more definition.

The Silver topper is very modern with an oval shaped figure cut in the middle by a groove.
The crystal insert is intact.
The upper part of the decanter is lined with solid silver bearing the same fine line as on the topper, but also showcasing a laurel wreath on the lower part.

The work is lovely and the piece is in brilliant condition with no chips or marks.

The width given above is taken at the larger part of the crystal.
