Elegant Suite of Art Deco Style Silver Tumblers By Bardies~Sold~

Elegant Suite of 12 Antique French Silver Art Deco Style Liquor Tumblers or Goblets by ‘Maître Orfèvre’ Gaston BARDIÉS.

The twelve silver goblets are decorated in the Early Art Deco Style and showcase a simple but elegant barrel form, facetted into 24 geometric sections, with two horizontal lines separating the main body of the tumblers from the upper ridge and the pedestal.

The work is very elegant and the pieces are in excellent condition with only a couple of very tiny marks.
The inside of each of the goblets is ‘Vermeillé’ or lined with 18 carat gold.
They come in their original silk lined presentation box from the House of Cardeilhac in Paris, which is in good condition.

The Hallmark is Minerve -1st title (950/1000)- 1838 -1919 -Paris

The Makers Mark is for ‘Maitre Orfèvre’ Gaston BARDIÉS and shows a G and a B separated by a Royal Lily.
The mark was registered on July 13th 1897, in Paris, and was cancelled on June 2nd 1914.
He held shop at 13 Rue des Fontaine in Paris.
