Exceptional Antique Vermeil Table Centrepiece By Boin-Taburet~Sold~

Exceptional Antique French Vermeil Table Centrepiece by ‘Maîtres Orfèvres’ BOIN-TABURET.
This impressive piece, worked in the Empire Style, is to be compared and was probably inspired by the Table Centrepiece created by Jean Baptise Claude ODIOT at the end of the 18th century for the Prince Borghese service.

This gorgeous work of Art is composed of 4 pieces in Vermeil (18 carat gold coated silver):
The round free standing base is decorated with a laurel leaf garland around the perimeter and showcases floral motifs on four sides, while resting on 4 beautifully worked lion’s paws.
The Main large bowl rests on a round pedestal, while showing the same laurel leaf garland around its perimeter and adapting perfectly to the slightly raised round base.
The upper part of the bowl is beautifully worked with acanthus leaves, palmettos, rosettes and 2 antique heads, as well as a few laurel wreaths. This beautiful work is made even more remarkable by the fact that each motif is worked individually and attached to the inside of the large bowl with numbered screws…An amazing work of art in itself.
The handles are worked into two gorgeous swans spreading their wings on each side of the large bowl.
The third part is the beautiful lid which is decorated with a lovely Pine Cone Finial resting on an acanthus and laurel leaf wreath, while a laurel leaf garland decorates the edges of the lid.
The last piece is the solid silver removable interior which is also totally 18 carat gold coated.
The Centrepiece is in excellent condition.

This incredible piece is really superb and extremely rare to come across.
A true work of Art to decorate your table!
