Exceptional Set of 6 French Silver Wine Coasters By Tallois

An exceptional and very elegant Set of 6 French Silver Wine Coasters By ‘Maître Orfèvre’ Tallois.

Worked in the Louis XVI style these 6 wine coasters are in solid silver and show a floral scroll design on the rims. The bottom of the coasters is lined with a two ridges and they all bear a beautifully chiseled JB monogram.
They are quite heavy and hence very solid and gorgeous.

A gorgeous set in good shape, perfect for a classic or modern table….

The Hallmark is Minerva 1 -1st title – 950/1000 – for Paris 1838/1919

The Makers Mark is for Paul Tallois.
It shows his last name with a crown underneath.
The Mark was registered in 1907 in Paris.
His workshop was located 19 boulevard de Strasbourg.
