Exquisite Antique French Silver And Vermeil (18 carat gold) 13 piece Ice Cream Set or Flatware Service by ‘Maitre Orfèvre’ HENIN & Cie, in the Louis XV style.
This very special set is in an amazing condition, a true work of art!
It features 12 individual spoons and 1 service piece.

All pieces showcase the Rocaille style dear to the Louis XV era, and are decorated with an amazing delicacy with floral scrolls details.
The spoons bowls attach to the handles by a lovely stylized floral scroll and little roses.
The inside of the spoons is decorated by an engraved stylized wave and floral scrolls.
The right hand side of the spoons is slightly raised to make sure the ice cream does not fall off when you bring it to your mouth!
The service spoon shows the same décor, albeit a little larger.
The details are incredibly refined and delicate, just exquisite really!

The individual spoons are 5.51 inches long
The Service Spoon is 10.47 inches long.

There is no wear to the vermeil which is very subtly applied.
While the service is originally intended for Ice Cream, it can definitely be used for fruit salads or desserts in general.
The spoons are great to handle, with perfect balance, a lovely way to add a little spark to your dessert time!
The set comes in its lovely original box, which features the same initials E & B which appear on the handles, as well as the year the set must have been gifted: 1897!
