Fine Pair of XIX Century French Ormolu & Bronze Tazza in the Napoleon III style.
Rising from an Ormolu chimera decorated pedestal laced with black marble, the gilded bronze stems show a delicate décor of rosettes and ‘guillochage’.
The upper part or cups, are bracketed by beautifully intertwined snake handles, while the center is decorated with a finely etched rosette.
These Lovely décor items were very popular during the 1st Empire period and came back in fashion by the mid eighteen hundreds.
They are quite lovely and very decorative!
