French Art Deco Silver Letter Platter by Paul Brunet and Caillot

A Lovely Art Deco Floral French Silver Letter or Business Card Platter by Maître Orfèvre Paul Brunet in collaboration with A Caillot.

Signed by A Caillot one of France masters of Art Nouveau repoussé creations, this lovely platter is decorated with rosehips flowers and branches.
The flowers are absolutely beautiful and the branches are used to form the asymmetrical sides of the platter.
The center is also hand hammered more depth to the piece.

A lovely example of Art nouveau silver….
It can be used for letters or for business card, for appetizers or simply as a decorative piece.
This lovely work is fully Art Nouveau time and is dated 1913.

The Hallmark is Minerve 1 -1st title (950/1000) – Hence 1838 to 1919 – Paris

The Maker’s Mark is for Maître Orfèvre Paul Brunet
His Mark shows a P and a B separated by a mitre or bishop’s hat.
His mark was registered in 1871 and canceled in 1913. Hence this piece was created his last year.
His workshop was located 13 rue de Grenelle Saint Germain Paris.
