French First Empire Pot Pourri in Chased Patinated and Gilt Bronze

Exquisite and Imposing French Empire Pot Pourri or perfume burner in chased patinated Bronze and Ormolu.

The bowl is supported by winged figures of the God ‘Terminus’ ending in feline legs, centered on a scaled baluster torch-holder supporting a simulated lamp with faun heads.
The pierced lid is topped by an ormolu acorn.
The circular base features a frieze of ‘Famas’ with alternating garlands and laurel crowns, the lower part decorated with spokes of heart and fleurons on an amati background.
